Redesigned Homepage, New Login Experience & Faster Password Resets
A fresh homepage you can return to anytime, a redesigned login/register flow, and password resets now use a quick 6-digit code instead of email links.
What's new
A real homepage
The site now has a proper landing page that you can come back to even when you're logged in. Hero copy, community guidelines, and the "Powered by" footer link are all configurable per site.
Redesigned auth pages
- Login, Register, Guest, and OTP screens are all rebuilt with a consistent look and a cleaner mobile layout.
- New gender picker on registration with friendlier icons and colors.
- New user menu in the top-right of every auth page — jump to settings, log out, or hop back into chat without retracing your steps.
- Friendlier validation copy and de-duplicated error messages, so you actually understand what went wrong.
Faster, safer password resets
- Password resets now send a 6-digit code to your email instead of a magic link. Type it on the next screen — no clicking through email, no expired-link frustration.
- Rate-limited to 5 reset emails per IP per hour to stop abuse.
- Reset, change-password, and change-username pages have all been rebuilt to match the new design.
Account & profile
- First and last name are now capped at 20 characters each — no more giant emoji-spam in profile headers.
- Spam-folder hint on the OTP screen if your verification email is slow to arrive.
- Ban-notification and password-reset emails now use unique subject lines per user, so spam filters stop bundling them together.
Mobile polish
- Topbar room name shrinks earlier and is hard-capped on narrow phones, so the user-list icon stays in view.
- User count moved to a pill badge — survives long room names without breaking the layout.
- Dropdowns now respond to
